Trusting tidbits regarding new episodes of “Arrested Development” has been historically much like trusting George Bluth Sr.’s Cornballer to make snacks: Sure, it seems like a good idea at first, but sometimes you will get burned.
Earlier this year, executive producer Brian Grazer said that another season was on its way. Now, he has given just a little bit more information, telling Mr. “Man Show” man Adam Carolla the new season is expected to begin production next January or February, with the episodes to roll out a few months later. So, that means by summer of 2016, season five might be available. That’s a strong emphasis on the might, though.
“Netflix is determined to do more episodes, so we’re gonna do more episodes. We’re gonna do it the turn of the year,” Grazer said. The question will be whether they will be able to get the cast together for filming, or will they go in the direction of season four and film individual solo-episodes and blend them together. The reviews were mixed on that last season (I loved it), but more “Arrested Development” is pretty good news.
