This Sunday will not only mark the season finale of “Fear The Walking Dead,” it will also mark the beginning of the new zombie web series, “Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462,” that will also play during commercial breaks during the sixth season of “The Walking Dead.”
The web series takes place during the prequel show’s timeline and puts forth a scenario that hasn’t been addressed by the popular zombie series: What happens when people have to deal with zombies on an airplane? Based on what happens in the other series, I’m guessing it doesn’t go well for anyone involved. According to AMC: “Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler.”
The series will be in 16 installments, the first one airs Sunday and the rest throughout “Walking Dead’s” sixth season, and the episodes are about a minute long (which makes it difficult to call them “episodes”) that will play during commercial breaks. They will also introduce a new character for the second season of “Fear The Walking Dead,” probably someone who will always yammer on about the time they fought off zombies on an airplane, while the rest had to deal with Martial law and the undead in Los Angeles like a bunch of punk poseurs.
