Tuesday night we saw the first debate among the Democrats eyeing the position for president of the United States. It wasn’t as, um, entertaining as the Republican debates (ie: Donald Trump), but it certainly was interesting. We finally got to see the Big Two Democrats on stage — Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders — debate the issues at hand (kind of).
There has been a pretty, pretty, pretty good ongoing joke since Sanders threw his hat in the ring that he looks and sounds eerily close to Larry David, a man famous for playing a cantankerous parody of himself on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and being the co-creator of “Seinfeld” (he is also the person they based George Costanza off of). So it comes as no surprise that someone would eventually edit the debate to make it look and sound like an episode of “Curb.” From the music, to the awkward pauses, to Sanders’ brash responses, the video indeed works pretty well.
