After the Democratic debate last week, we all shared a good laugh about how much Bernie Sanders reminded us of “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David. We laughed and laughed about it, because it was kind of true.
And last Saturday, like George Costanza realizing his true purpose in life by pretending to be a Marine Biologist, Larry David took the stage during “Saturday Night Live’s” cold open and fulfilled his destiny by pretending to be a Larry David-esque Bernie Sanders in a sketch about the debate. And it was pretty, pretty, pretty good.
The “SNL” episode also featured Tracy Morgan as host, which made for not only one of the few “SNL” episodes I truly enjoyed in a long while, but gave us a “30 Rock” reunion as well.
