Last Sunday, the Miss Universe pageant experienced what can only be described as a “cringe-worthy fiasco” when host Steve Harvey named the named Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez the winner when, in fact, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach had actually won (I had to look this up because these pageants are even less interesting than award shows, so I do not bother watching them).
But seeing that the Internet exists, somebody had the great idea of turning Harvey’s blunder into a “Curb Your Enthusiasm” moment — right down to the shocked and embarrassed look on his face as the classic song “Frolic” from Larry David’s HBO show plays. Because, frankly, I could see this as a thing that would happen to Larry on the show. And this is yet another reason I love the Internet.
Not to be outdone, the amazing Twitter account —Seinfeld Current Day — added a “Seinfeld” moment to Harvey’s situation. Which is just an added bonus.
