As yet another soul crushing week of political conventions dominate our TV screen with the DNC, we are reminded once again that we will be making a decision in November between two of the most disliked presidential candidates in modern history — the ethically questionable career politician that is Hillary Clinton and the snake oil salesman that is Donald Trump. It is the classic scenario that no matter who wins, we all lose. *sigh*
But fear not, for we are offered one last glimpse of joy, for Bernie Sanders may have endorsed Clinton — and driving a lot of Bernie-or-busters toward Jill Stein, Gary Johnson and, for some reason, Donald Trump — he has given us one more awkward moment on video for someone to add the theme song from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to. This time, when he dropped his speech during the convention and pure terror seemed to grip the Vermont senator.

Perhaps my personal favorite part of this otherwise hell-on-Earth election cycle has been the eerie similarities between Sen. Sanders and Larry David, creator of “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” that spawned many incredible Youtube clips and, eventually, got David back to the “Saturday Night Live” set that he was once fired from (and gave the world the episode “The Revenge” on “Seinfeld” when George quits his job, only to return the following Monday pretending he didn’t actually quit) to portray Sanders and eventually mash it up with his hit HBO show.
Here is a mashup of “Curb” and Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton.
Here is the video that first rocked the Internet.
And, the “SNL” skit that features David playing a hybrid of his “Curb” persona and Sanders.
So, let us laugh and enjoy these moments, because we still have a long trek until November with the non-stop political ads, mailers, 24-hour news cycle punditry and so forth.
